Statewide Programs

In a year-long series of activities, communities hold VSAFL programs based on local needs including: programs that include classroom implementation of VSA arts curricula; professional training opportunities; performances; exhibitions and classes highlighting arts experiences for people of all ages with disabilities; festivals which culminate in community based events where students exhibit, perform, and demonstrate their work; participate in workshops; and interact with community artists.

$500 - That’s how much it costs to bring an artist into a classroom to electrify the creativity of all students, including those with a disability.
$500 provides an avenue to change teacher attitudes about the abilities of students with disabilities.
$500 offers an opportunity for students with disabilities to change their perception of their own abilities and for their classmates to turn up side down their perception of disability.
