Mailing List Discussions in Arts, Disabilities, and Education

If you are a "newbie" or newcomer to the world of email discussion lists, it is strongly suggested that you review the following page on Email group Netiquette: http://www.our-kids.org/Archives/email_netiquette.html before participating in a group.

Most of these lists are monitored. If you want to receive a summary at the end of the day of all of the messages, request the "digest" version for your subscription.

A large collection of Arts based discussions and newsgroups is located in the Art Resources section of the Gallery. These include art and fine art, art education, art therapy, and museums.

See also the Web Resources database on this site for additional forums, discussion groups, and chats.

Public Newsgroups:

Please note that these groups are open to the public and generally are not moderated in any way. As such, there are often remarks in uncouth language and inappropriate postings. If you do not wish to subject yourself or others to these comments and spam, it is suggested that you keep to the private mailing lists which are moderated by a human being.

Many of these groups can be accessed without a newsreader program or ISP serving them at http://www.deja.com . From there you can either read the messages online at their site, or have a digest version of the messages sent to you at the end of each day.
