A classroom teacher whose class was involved in a VSA Residency Program writes... My students with disabilities felt accepted and equal to their peers. All students shared their work and were proud of each other. They appreciated each other’s artistic talents. The teaching artist taught them that they were all talented and she valued them all. She showed them how to correct “mistakes” and that it wasn’t a big deal if they “messed up.”
