Festival - VSA arts of Florida Festival
Maplewood Elementary School will be continuing thier curriculum based festival. Our theme this year is "Where in the World are we". Each class will chose a country or continent to study. They will decorate their doors and rooms relating to their country and will wear native dress for the parade. All of the art stops on the day of the festival will be from "Around the World". Each student will have a passport as they travel around the world.

Marion Regional Juvenile Detention Center
Students temporarily incarcerated in Regional Detention Centers in North Florida will have new opportunities to increase their critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills while learning constructive uses of leisure time and strength-based career opportunities through discovery and exploration of the arts. Funding from VSA arts of Florida will be used to bring in artists in residence and/or purchase supplies.
