Artist in Residence - "Artists in the Schools"
"Artists in the Schools" is an instructional program that enables educators to create meaningful learning experiences for children utilizing all of the arts - visual arts, creative movement, creative drama, and music. The program assists children with disabilities in exploring activities commonly taught in their school programs through the arts and capitalizes on the inherently motivating nature of artis activities to engage children in exploring, creating meaning, and expressing their ideas. The program draws the members of the community into the classroom to provide these special arts activities.
