Awards

Recognizing Best Practices in Access will provide monetary awards to organizations that are chosen for their access efforts and initiatives. Award monies will be used by organizations to further their access work, making their programs open and inviting to all audiences.

There are two award types:

  • Sustainability Grants - $1,000 awards to sustain or enhance an accessible program or to be used to purchase new technology that will enhance the work and scope of the program.
  • Professional Development Stipends - $500 awards will be used for nominated personnel to attend professional development opportunities such as the LEAD conference (Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability) and to participate in other conferences and workshops that will benefit their professional growth and development.

Award recipients and their programs will be highlighted in a printed piece produced by VSA arts of Florida and the Division of Cultural Affairs.
