Creative Clay Cultural Center in ST. PETERSBURG, FL is seeking ARTISTS TO TEACH from 9-3 M-F for one to eight weeks in their summer arts camp for children of mixed abilities. Classes limited to 10 campers and salary is $15 hr. The focus of each week is the study of one of four countries: India, Greece, Nigeria, and Mexico. Applicants must have a proposed curriculum for the week(s) s/he would like to teach. Presentation of the history of each culture and activities connected to that culture are essential for consideration. Applicants may apply for any number of weeks to teach beginning the week of 6/14. Teaching artists lead artist in residence programs with students in ESE or inclusive school classrooms, adults with disabilities in day programs and youth at risk in the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice facilities. If you would like to explore the source materials from which these standards were derived, please review the Resource Page for Florida Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts used by the Framers and Writers of the proposed standards.
