VSA arts of Florida would like to announce a workshop by Artist Registry member, Jack Beverland (Mr. B) on Saturday, February 27 at 1:30 PM. Mr. B will give a presentation on VSA arts of Florida, Folk Art and a creative session for those attending. The workshop will be at the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library, 11211 Countryway Blvd, Tampa, FL 33626. They have just announced an extension in the application deadline for YLF, and are now taking applications through Friday, February 12. If you know a high school student with a disability under the age of 18 that would enjoy gaining independence and networking with their peers, please let them know about YLF! VSA arts of Florida - Palm Beach County VSA arts of Florida - Palm Beach County promotes arts, education and creative expression, involving children and adults with disabilities, thereby strengthening the human spirit, and improving the quality of life for all. Check out their website! The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded a twenty thousand dollar grant to VSA arts of Florida. VSA arts of Florida is one of only three Florida organizations awarded funding for the “Learning in the Arts for Children and Youth”. VSAFL applied for this funding to support ensuring access to the arts for all students. Artists who are specially trained to work with students with a range of disabilities will teach drama, music, movement and the visual arts in classroom residencies.
