Chapter 5: Assistive Technology for Education and Work With the explosive growth in new technology , more and more options exist to enable persons with disabilities to achieve higher levels of education, live independently, and to increasingly participate in the workplace, recreational activities and hobbies. In this chapter we review the types of assistive technology available and discuss strategies and options for locating and funding them.
