Internships, Apprenticeships, and Other Formal Trainings

What do President Clinton, Today show anchor Katie Couric, and N.Y. Knicks star Patrick Ewing have in common? They all had internships. An internship can put you on the path to success, point you in a new career direction, help you discover your talents, and give you some experience. Experiences like internships, volunteering, competitions, and other informal training are a great way to test career options before you settle on a career choice and invest in training. In addition, you can build your resume and begin networking, even before you graduate, to help ensure that you will be happily employed after you finish high school, college, or graduate school.
