All Kids Can… CREATE!: A National Call for Art

presented by VSA arts and CVS Caremark All Kids Can

VSA arts and CVS Caremark All Kids Can seek artwork created by children for “All Kids Can… CREATE!”, an exhibition encouraging learning through creative expression.  All children living in the United States between the ages of 5 and 15 are eligible to apply.  One representative artwork from each state and the District of Columbia will be selected for display during May 2008 in Washington, D.C.  Ten of the selected young artists will be invited to Washington, D.C. to be honored in a congressional reception. Submissions will be accepted through CaFE (www.callforentry.org) through March 14, 2008.  For more information, please visit www.vsarts.org or contact Jennifer Wexler, visual arts manager, at jcwexler@vsarts.org or call (202) 628-2800 x3885.

Affiliates will be required to select and submit two artworks to the VSA arts national office, each by a young artist with a disability, for consideration in the culminating exhibition.  Your assistance in spreading the word to your local contacts is key to the success of this project.  Participation in this program fulfills the Children’s Call for Art national programs requirement for FY 2008.

10 copies of the call for entries were sent this week to each affiliate executive director with a letter that details the timeline for the project. Attached, please also find a PDF version for circulation.

Stay tuned for more information on the selection process and how to access to the online submissions through CaFE, www.callforentry.org
